Overdose Awareness Day 2022

Local communities in The Montgomery County area and around the world are coming together at the end of August to remember those who have died or suffered permanent injury due to drug overdose.

Montgomery County Overdose Prevention Endeavor (M-COPE) will be hosting an event at the Woodlands Methodist Church, located in The Woodlands on Sunday, August 28, 2022 that will focus on education, remembrance, prevention and awareness of the overdose epidemic occurring in Montgomery and Harris counties.

Time to remember loved ones and end overdose.

Free Community Event

Local leaders will speak, we will have demonstrations, and resources will be on hand for people to learn about what is available in the area for support.

4:00 PM

Doors open. Experience the Texas Memorial Walkway. Talk with experts and gather resources. Free light dinner will be provided.

5:30 PM

Event begins. Naloxone demonstration and training. A free kit of Naloxone will be provided to everyone to take home.

6:15 PM

Speakers begin. Event ends with a release of 500 biodegradable balloons.
