Awareness, Education, Prevention & Remembrance
Make a meaningful impact by supporting M-COPE’s events, outreach, and community programs. Volunteers play a vital role in everything from setting up The Texas Memorial Walkway™ to helping at educational events and distributing life-saving resources like Narcan® and Deterra®.
Your donations help us provide vital resources and education to prevent overdoses, while also supporting The Texas Memorial Walkway™—a powerful tribute that helps break the stigma surrounding substance use disorder and its impact on families.
Stay informed and get involved. Check out our upcoming events and join us in making a lasting difference. Each event is an opportunity to support the cause, connect with others, and help create positive change in your community.
Our mission at M-COPE is to collaborate with individuals, communities, schools and organizations to raise awareness about substance use disorder and the alarming rise in overdose and drug related deaths in Montgomery County, Texas and surrounding areas. Our efforts are grounded in four key pillars: education, awareness, prevention, and remembrance. Through this approach, we shine a light on the growing drug crisis, work to end the stigma surrounding substance use, and advocate for those currently in need of support—as well as for those who can no longer speak for themselves.
Stay connected with M-COPE through impactful events that raise awareness, educate about overdose, and support those affected by substance use disorder. From annual awareness events and Narcan® training to school and community presentations, each event is a chance to learn, advocate, and take action. Explore upcoming events and consider hosting one or volunteering to help make a difference.
Today was a powerful day of presentations to a full attentive auditorium of 7th - 12th grade students. The students were surrounded by a portion The Texas Memorial Walkway. Thank you again to Jordan Witkop who was joined today by Lead Prosecutor Laura Hill of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in the presentation of “Unintended Consequences.” We were impressed by the school’s leadership and staff in their desire to educate its parents and students on the realities of substance use in Montgomery County.
The Walkway will remain up through noon tomorrow for the staff and students to walk and read about our angels.
