ABOUT Montgomery County Overdose Prevention Endeavour
“No family should ever have to go through the pain of losing a loved one because of overdose.”
We are parents, spouses, siblings, children, and friends who have been affected in some way by substance use or an overdose death.
We are coming together with a purpose to educate and bring awareness surrounding the drug epidemic in our community, and recognize the families that have suffered from the loss of a loved one.

“Addiction truly knows no boundaries – it’s a problem that can affect anyone, regardless of where they live, where they grew up, or their race, gender or age”
Our Why
Together, We Remember. Together, We Prevent. Together, We Create Change.
At M-COPE, our mission and vision drive everything we do. We are committed to raising awareness, supporting families, and honoring those we have lost while working toward a future free from preventable overdose deaths.
Our Mission
Our mission at M-COPE is to collaborate with individuals, communities, schools and organizations to raise awareness about substance use disorder and the alarming rise in overdose and drug related deaths in Montgomery County and surrounding areas. Our efforts are grounded in four key pillars: education, awareness, prevention, and remembrance. Through this approach, we shine a light on the growing drug crisis, work to end the stigma surrounding substance use, and advocate for those currently in need of support as well as for those who can no longer speak for themselves.
Our Vision
M-COPE envisions a community where education, awareness, and community advocacy reduce the devastating impact of substance use disorder and overdose. We strive for a future where no life is lost to preventable drug-related deaths, where families have the support they need, and where the stigma surrounding addiction is replaced with compassion, understanding, and action. Through collaboration, prevention efforts, and remembrance initiatives, we aim to create lasting change and inspire hope for generations to come.
