WHO WE ARE

Ending the Stigma, Saving Lives

Our mission at M-COPE is to collaborate with individuals, communities, schools and organizations to raise awareness about substance use disorder and the alarming rise in overdose and drug related deaths in Montgomery County, Texas and surrounding areas. Our efforts are grounded in four key pillars: education, awareness, prevention, and remembrance. Through this approach, we shine a light on the growing drug crisis, work to end the stigma surrounding substance use, and advocate for those currently in need of support—as well as for those who can no longer speak for themselves.

Our Overcomer scholarship application is open through May. Send a reminder to an overcomer you know who is a worthy candidate.

Last year four individuals in the recovery treatment community stepped forward and blessed individual applicants with additional Overcomer scholarships. If you work in that area, please reach out if you are interested in participating in 2026.

Thank you Positive Recovery Centers for inviting us to do a podcast with you. We touched on so many different things but this, from Paige Butler, was especially important about connection when you love a person with a SUD. Find your people!
